An elementary school student in Wayne has come down with a case of highly-contagious whooping cough, the district superintendent said. The student, who lives the Pines Lake section of town, attends Pines Lake School, Dr. Mark Toback said Tuesday. Parents were notified immediately and no other students have gotten the respiratory disease, Toback added. It can be spread by coughing or sneezing.
